Sunday School Mission Offerings

Each quarter of the Sunday School year, mission offerings are gathered and designated for unique mission opportunities around the world.

New Mission Offering Project

Spring 2018 (March-June):  Students received a mite box to collect change for LWML missions.  They can return a full box to Sunday School or to church offering plate at any time.  Or they can empty the box in the Sunday School offering basket any second or third Sunday of the month, then take it back home to use again.  See the link above for mission grants that mites support.

Winter 2015-2016--During the months of December, January, and February, our offerings will support Alaska Mission for Christ.  This is the mission arm of the 14 Alaskan congregations of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, which are working together to make a bold witness for Jesus in every community in Alaska.   The great distances and diversity in Alaska make this mission a costly one.  Our offerings will help AMC reach these remote communities!  Mission offerings are collected the second and third Sundays of each month.

Fall 2015:  August - November of 2015, we are collecting offerings for Lutheran Heritage Foundation.  Many Lutheran churches around the world do not have the basic books used to teach the faith, such as Luther’s Small Catechism, because no one has translated them into their languages.  Lutheran Heritage Foundation uses donations to translate, publish and distribute books, at no charge to their recipients.  They have published the catechism into more than 70 languages and more than 700 other books have been translated and distributed.  Our offerings will help get these invaluable texts into the hands of people who need them, such as pastors, missionaries, and new believers!  Find out more about Lutheran Heritage Foundation at this link:

Spring/Summer project 2015:  Our Spring and Summer mission offerings will go to “Big City Mission:  Tools for School!”  click here for more information click for more information: Big City Mission:  Tools for Schools.
